Lymphatic Drainage
Our body contains between 6 and 10 litres of lymph, twice as much as blood.
This whitish fluid, which contains white blood cells, collects waste products from the blood via a system of vessels. Lymph circulates very slowly, at a rate of 1 to 3 litres per day.
This is why it is important to help our bodies eliminate toxins thoroughly through drainage, a method developed almost 100 years ago by Emile Vodder.
This involves very gentle, slow, circular movements following the direction of lymphatic circulation and pumping. This massage promotes relaxation and lightness.
